some photos from the gig last night at the bird. One of the best gigs I've been to over the last few years... what intensity.

I felt it was a good idea to bash the film up and put some acid on it before developing it to introduce some chaos. Interesting.

Furne One – Perth Fashion Week

The Furne One couture show at Perth Fashion Week blew everyone away. The blend of wigs, spikes, and flowing fabrics was a welcome surprise at what I was expecting to be a trade-focussed event.

The lighting guys nailed it, accentuating both the soft and sinister aspects of the collection. Hard overhead spots creating shadowed faces were joined by constant colourful backlights.

Curtin Fashion Graduation Show

Had the honour of photographing the Curtin Fashion Graduate Show last week.

An ecclectic range of styles shows the faculty is going great guns.
The Factory was an great venue choice with an innovative catwalk - one long run with no pivots, but lots of choreographed shenanigans.

Perth Fashion Festival – Thursday 22 September

Been covering the Perth Fashion Festival for Lidia @ Consummo Avenue.

Most of the shots are going up on Lidia's blog, but during the second show I had a play around.
It was 'Designer Capsule 1' - with Little Gracie, Lisa Marjanovich and Paper Skye. All the garments were right up my, loved it.

With these shots, I was trying to capture the feel of alienation between the catwalk and audience - by making the models seem literally alien... an otherworldly flow of beauty parading through the room like a carnival exhibition.

Oh and sorry to the models I made look like bizarro aliens
